Kinbidhoo is one of the most historically significant islands in Thaa Atoll, renowned for its important Buddhist archaeological remains including a large ruined stupa. These ancient remains were explored by the late Muhammad Ismail Didi, and a report on the survey was published in the book 'Divehi Tārīkhah Au Alikameh.'
