This policy covers bookings paid by card on Jifuti. All charges and refunds are in US dollars (USD).
Free cancellation
You can cancel for a refund up to 14 days before your check-in date. Cancel within that window and we refund your booking total, minus the card-processing fee described below.
Cancellations close to your stay
Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable. You can still cancel the booking, but no money is returned.
Card-processing fee
When you cancel within the free-cancellation window, a card-processing fee of 3% of your booking total is non-refundable and is deducted from your refund. This is the fee the payment provider charges to process the original payment, which they keep even when a payment is refunded.
If the guesthouse or Jifuti cancels
If a guesthouse can't honour your booking, or we cancel it for any reason on our side, you receive a full refund — the card-processing fee is not deducted in that case.
No-shows
If you don't arrive for your stay and haven't cancelled, the booking is treated as a no-show and is non-refundable.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are returned to the same card you paid with, in US dollars. Please allow a few business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
Bookings paid at the guesthouse
Some bookings are paid directly to the guesthouse rather than by card on Jifuti. For those, any refund is arranged with the guesthouse directly and this card-refund policy doesn't apply.
How to cancel
Open your booking from your account and choose Cancel booking. We'll show you the refund amount before you confirm, and email you once it's done.
